Yes, it was looking like the 19th had the best turnout. Let's lock it in. And I am all for keeping this simple. I will provide beer and wine and some appetizers and yes, I think we should ask others to bring something in the categories you outline. If they give us a quick response to which category they are planning on that will let us know if we need to make a few adjustments to make sure we're well covered. I am not all that keen on the secret Santa thing. I want to keep it simple and I don't want to be part of just more buying and throwing away crap we don't need. Let's hear what Irma has to say and then make a final decision on that one. Thanks for doing the lion's share of the organizing.

How do you feel about the secret Santa gift exchange that Irma suggested. I must admit I'm a little mixed. I'll ask her what she has in mind.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. With both of my girls home from school, I felt very blessed and grateful. I am also grateful to be part of the BCE!
Cylvia has graciously offered to host a potluck dinner for us at Mahonia Hall -- on either December 15 or December 19, depending on which night more people can come. Can you please let me know right away which night works better for you, and I will send the invitation with additional details about the event.
