Do you have any connections with any university economic departments in Oregon or elsewhere, Cylvia? It is always helpful to connect with supportive students and professors. Perhaps we could even find a way to get some Oregon-based econ students to Boston. I don't have anything specific but I do speak and write on these topics a lot (as apparently you've already heard!). I would be interested speaking with some of these young economics students at some point if that would be a value-add. In truth, after working on the topic of economic transformation for nearly 20 years it feels like a movement is finally growing and I am just interested in continuing to grow that movement.

I received info about the AEA conference and the Kick It campaign via the New Economy Coalition. I am a longtime sustainable economics advocate, consultant, speaker and writer. Most recently I've been working with a number of states and internationally on strategies for going Beyond GDP. I am also the current First Lady of Oregon and have been under heavy media attack and systems resistance due to my non-conformist approach. I would be happy to talk with you about your work and mine to see if there may be opportunities to collaborate. I have known about, and been a fan of, Adbusters for many years but have not directly engaged them for some time.
