Greetings Katherine,

I am happy to do a more thorough version especially if we could get it posted to the Oxfam blog.  One part of my professional work is to develop clean economy success stories and get them distributed as widely as possible.

As for my per group calls, in truth there have been a couple of profound experiences.  What about yours?

So looking forward to seeing you,

Cylvia

Dearest Cylvia

So so so super to hear from you, and huge apologies for the slow reply. I've been back home in Australia and then in Vietnam for a pal's wedding, and for once I've been rather disciplined at not checking work emails while on holiday...

Berlin sounds good (though I guess you're home now), looking forward to hearing more about it in a few weeks (!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Thanks so much for your blog - love the story, the pragmatism etc, the tone you write in. It would be nice to know a bit more about the background - some stats about how economically depressed the area was before they welcomed wind? Were young people leaving? Were farmers shutting up shop? Have you been directly involved? What did your role entail? Was there controversy about turbines, as there often is here in the UK in rural areas? Do local communities get a share directly or are the community benefits via general revenue going up via tax. Do you think a second version might be able to go a wee bit deeper? And if there is a photo that would be amazing, I have all sorts of images of farmers looking up at turbines in my mind.

The bad news is you are the only one to have chipped in yet. I'm going to wait till we see everyone face to face to give people a nudge. There's a chance I can get these onto the main Oxfam blog, which would mean a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge readership, so I'm going to wait till I know if that is a certainty. So no rush.

How have your 'peer group' calls been going?

Hope you're not too busy. Really looking forward to seeing you both in Bhutan.

Love from snowy, wintery Glasgow

Katherine xx

Hello lovely people.

Hope this reaches you wonderfully well.

Does anyone have an email for Sanjay??

Maja and I have concocted a wee terms of reference - what do you think? Happy to press on with this cheeky plan....?

Deadline is March 10. Do you think that's do-able?

Good news is we can post them on the doughnut economics blog!! Have a wee look: http://oxfamblogs.org/doughnut/

Giddy up!

Best wishes,

Katherine
