I am forwarding an email I sent to you on March 11 extending an invitation to Fish of Albany's fundraising event on May 5, 2013. I've received no "bounce-back" notification, so I'm assuming the original email was delivered. I hope you are considering attending our event and will respond with a resounding "Yes!" shortly so we can continue our planning. Your attendance will be a tremendous asset to our endeavor. With appreciation, Annette Hobbs ----- Original Message ----- From: Fish of Albany, Inc Sent: Monday, March 11, 2013 1:08 PM Subject: Fish of Albany, Inc Dear Ms Hayes: Fish of Albany invites you and the Governor to our WWW Fashion Threepeat on Sunday May 5, 2013 in Albany! It would be great if you, as the First Lady of Oregon, could present our top prize. It's a collection of "crown jewels" from the Smithsonian including a 5990-carat natural Columbian EMERALD, a RUBY larger than the ruby in the British Imperial Crown of India, and a SPINEL larger than the Black Prince's Ruby (which is, in fact, a spinel)! We would also like the Governor to present one of our winners with an authentic HUNDRED-TRILLION dollar bill. No, he doesn't have to come up with the money ... we have a legitimate bill in this amount from another country. We think it would make a great photo! The event will be held at Sybaris Bistro in Albany--a James Beard award winning restaurant, between 2 and 4 in the afternoon. Patrons enjoy refreshments while shopping designer clothing donated by Saks, Nordstrom and Hollywood celebrities (through the Red Carpet Collection Project). Also available, donated by an anonymous philanthropist: an authentic Matisse graphite sketch, a kinetic diamond ring that changes shape as you move, and other unique items. Proceeds support Fish of Albany service programs. For the past 40 years, Fish has provided free food, clothing, prescription assistance, transportation solutions and shelter to persons in need. Requests for assistance increase every year (Fish staff and volunteers served over 25,160 people in 2012), but revenue does not. To remain within our budget and avoid cutting services, we have created this event to draw new support--your presence would help a great deal. I am pleased to give you more information about Fish activities and/or give you a tour of our service sites. Fish provides vital assistance to folks struggling to make ends meet, and we do it on a shoestring. Please consider attending WWW if your schedules will permit.
