Please add the following to the Goals Section (in current draft on page 11).  This will be holding language to prompt us to do some research for the next draft. 

Under the three quantifiable bulleted goals please insert the following:

As previously described in this document, the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) is not an accurate measurement of the number of people struggling to meet basic needs.  The FPL is XXX (fill in for single, couple, family of four, etc).  Clearly that is not a lot of money to feed, cloth, educate, transport and insure oneself and one’s family.  The actual rate of people struggling and stressed about meeting these needs is much higher.

In addition, some of the most important aspects of what makes us feel prosperous – love, connection to community, doing work we feel good about – are difficult to quantify.  But that does not mean they are not important.  (Let’s add a few aspirational goals from the vision pieces we settle on in the Intro section).
