I think the Grand is the best option in Salem. There is also a Best Western and a Residence Inn off Mission by Costco.

Mary will know best; but Joe and I have stayed many times at the Grand Hotel which is connected to the Convention Center and it is very nice. They have a really nice free breakfast in the morning.
