Hi Cylvia,

If I dropped a ball, my apologies….but, I think we’re cool. On May 9, there are two events at the Univ of Portland. In the AM, an Interfaith Event and a talk by the Dalai Lama in the PM. Those events sold out in a couple of hours…..Not sure if that is of interest to you but I’m poking around to see if there are a few spare tickets. Is that of interest to you?

There is a private event, including an honorary degree being presented to His Holiness and the graduation of the current class at Maitripa College on the morning of 5/10 and then the Dalai Lama flies to Eugene for an event at the U of O that PM.

On the morning of 5/11, John joins Andrea Durbin, the Dalai Lama and David Suzuki as panelists for the Spirituality and the Environment Summit in the AM, there is a luncheon which you and John are invited to with the Dalai Lama[about 40 invitees] and then a talk by the Dalai Lama as the wrap up event in the afternoon. Entertainment led by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, as just announced this week. I’m sure we have a ticket reserved for you to lead the cheering section for JK.

I’m copying Sara Winkelman who is the Maitripa College keeper of the tickets. Sara, please advise as to the status of tickets for Cylvia Hayes.

Cylvia, give me a call if I’m missing anything….I know we discussed possible participation on the 5/11 panel but the office of His Holiness put an early and firm cap on the number of panelists.

I have to admit I’m a little irritated. I had been under the impression that you were planning to keep me in the loop as the Dalai Lama event. During our face to face meeting I had mentioned that I was very interested in the environment and spirituality session and disappointed to learn that it is fully booked – I didn’t even know when it was taking place.
